FUEL YOUR PASSION
Located in the heart of Minas Gerais, Brazil, the Cerrado Mineiro region is one of the country’s most renowned coffee-growing areas. With elevations ranging from 800 to 1,300 meters (2,600 to 4,300 feet) above sea level, this region benefits from a consistent climate, nutrient-rich soil, and well-defined rainy and dry seasons—ideal conditions for producing high-quality, specialty-grade Arabica coffee. Cerrado Mineiro was also the first region in Brazil to receive a Protected Geographical Indication (PGI), recognizing the distinctiveness and excellence of its coffee.
Flavor Profile
Smooth body, low acidity, and naturally sweet profile. Thanks to the region’s stable climate and slow ripening process, the coffee beans develop rich, balanced flavors with tasting notes that often include:
-
Chocolate and caramel sweetness – providing a smooth, creamy texture
-
Nutty undertones – hints of almond, hazelnut, or peanut butter
-
Subtle fruit notes – such as red berries, dried fruit, or citrus zest
-
Mild floral and honey-like aromas – adding depth and complexity
Processing & Quality
Most coffee from Cerrado Mineiro undergoes the natural (dry) processing method, where cherries are dried with the fruit intact, allowing the beans to absorb more sweetness and body. Some producers also use pulped natural (honey) processing, which enhances the coffee’s smooth texture and caramelized flavors. Due to the region’s dry climate during harvest, producers can carefully control the drying process, resulting in clean, consistent, and high-quality coffee beans.
Cerrado Mineiro coffee’s chocolatey sweetness and full body shine in various brewing methods:
-
Espresso – enhances its creamy body and nutty caramel flavors
-
French Press – brings out its smooth, full-bodied richness
-
Moka Pot – intensifies its bold, chocolatey notes
-
Drip Coffee (Automatic or Manual Pour-over) – highlights its balance and natural sweetness
